Really don't think that's gonna happen... but try checking out Peppe's AI mod.

Yup - Peppe's mod is coming along.  It will certainly be better than the current AI very soon.  So far most of the work is going into getting better ai Ability builds/favor items, having the AI only buy relevant citadel upgrades, etc.  Nothing is currently being done to change AI pathing or how the AI fights in a battle, but hopefully things will get there at some point.
